We have several wool duvets by other brands and needed to search for a real cotton shell wool duvet. It is perfect thickness and wool fill is even in each compartment. We prefer medium thickness and weight, find it much versatile for all year around use, In winter, couple it with organic blanket, promises a good night sleep. Not all cotton shells are actually cotton, feels stiff and wakes you up to a noise. This one feels much softer than what I have and has worked nicely in my linen/cotton duvet cover. Always use my other duvet cover since washing a wool duvet is tricky - For this one though, washing instruction says 'machine washable' & 'low heat dry' :) The cute cotton storage bag is a bonus! I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it to friends.
